vineAs you might have heard by now, Twitter has announced that they will be shutting down Vine in the next few months. The video service was pretty popular at its inception and even managed to create several Vine stars, who were kind of like YouTube celebrities, except that it was based on their Vine uploads.

It is a bit of a bummer to see the service go only after a few years of Twitter acquiring them, but given that other platforms like Instagram and Snapchat are already offering similar-ish features, the company decided that there was no value in keeping it around. However it seems that one company could be interested in acquiring them: Pornhub.

In a letter obtained by CNET sent by Pornhub VP Corey Price to Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey, “We figure since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and is having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like ‘Damn Daniel,’ ‘Awkward Puppets’ and many more.” Price also added that Vine’s 6 second videos would be ideal for Pornhub, and that clips “of porn in six seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”

Now it seems that Price’s offer that was made to Dorsey was probably done so in jest, and that maybe he did not mean it, but what do you guys think? Would NSFW 6 second video clips be something you think the general public could be interested in?
