red_dead_redemption_2Rockstar has been teasing some kind of announcement and the various images that they have posted all seem to suggest that we could be looking at a new Red Dead game. In fact it was recently discovered that Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, had registered the domain for “Red Dead Online”.

The good news is that gamers will have to wonder no more as Rockstar has officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the company’s post on Facebook, “Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems. An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”

There is no mention as to whether we can expect the game to arrive on newer consoles like the PS4 Pro or Microsoft’s Project Scorpio, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the game were to support either system. The story and the features of the game have yet to be revealed and we have no idea what it will look like, but Rockstar has since promised that the official trailer will drop on the 20th of October at 11am EST, so do check back with us then for the details.
