It has been rumored for a couple of months now that Samsung is working on a high-end Chromebook. The company is yet to make an official announcement but the device itself has been revealed through pre-order listings. Samsung’s high-end Chromebook packs a touchscreen display as well as stylus support. It’s going to be called the Samsung Chromebook Pro.

Pre-order listings reveal that the Samsung Chromebook Pro features a 12.3 inch 2,400×1,600 pixel resolution touchscreen display which can be rotated 360 degrees. Additional specs include a hexacore 2GHz processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, stylus support and 10 hours of battery life packed in a shell that’s just 12.9mm thin.

Samsung hasn’t made an official announcement yet so it’s unclear how much this device is going to cost. The pre-order page is up on Adorama and it carries a price tag of $499. A similar page on B&H which has now been taken down mentioned October 24th as the release date.

Pictures of this device show what it’s going to look like. The Samsung Chromebook Pro has an impressive design and appears to be fashioned out of aluminum, though that’s not confirmed yet. The minimal bezels are doing wonders for the overall look and feel of this device.

It can’t be said for sure right now when Samsung will officially announce the Chromebook Pro but it’s quite likely that we’ll hear more about it in the coming weeks.
