titanfall-2If you are thinking about getting a console, there are at least 3 systems that have yet to be launched: the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox Scorpio, and the PS4 Pro, although the PS4 Pro will be released first later this November. Now if you consider yourself more of a PlayStation gamer, you’ll be interested to learn that the folks at Respawn have confirmed the Titanfall 2 will look better and perform better on the upcoming console.

Speaking to Stevivor, Titanfall 2 executive Producer Drew McCoy revealed some additional details about the game on the PS4 Pro. According to McCoy, “It’s a PS4 that’s faster. We’re able to increase the resolution, we have high-res shadows, and maybe higher particle counts. The frame rate is more stable; we have dynamic resolution scaling on all consoles, but it scales down less often on PS4 Pro to maintain 60 frames-per-second.”

We guess it was to be expected that due to the improved hardware on the PS4 Pro that developers will be taking advantage of it to push their games to new limits, and it looks like Titanfall 2 will be one of them. However we should remind gamers that games playable on the PS4 Pro will also be playable on the regular PS4.

This means that for now, there won’t be any PS4 Pro exclusives, which is good news for PS4 owners who would probably not be too thrilled at having to spend more money on a newer console only after a couple of years.
