redmi-splashXiaomi has been making some in-roads recently thanks to their affordable but yet decently specced handsets. In fact just recently the company has taken the wraps off their latest device, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus, which has been officially launched in India where it is priced at approximately $143.

Now $143 probably won’t get you much back n the day, but like we said, Xiaomi is known for their value for money handsets and the Redmi 3S Plus is no exception. According to its specs, we’re looking at a 5-inch 720p HD display, and under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset can be found.

We’re also looking at 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 4,100mAh battery. There is also dual-SIM support as this is a feature that seems to be favored in markets such as India and China. It will come with Xiaomi’s MIUI launcher, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and even a fingerprint scanner.

Not too shabby for $143, right? Unfortunately this phone seems to be only available in India at the moment and it is unlikely to find its way stateside. Xiaomi does have plans to eventually bring their phones to the US in the future, so it will be interesting to see if the low-end models will be coming as well.
