microsoft cortana
It has been over a year since Microsoft unveiled its digital personal assistant called Cortana. It has gradually made its way to more Windows-powered devices by Microsoft and the company has gradually been rolling it out in more countries across the globe. Microsoft is working to expand Cortana to more countries and the company has confirmed that its digital personal assistant is soon going to be released for its users based in South Korea.

Microsoft has already said that South Korea, China, and Japan are its primary markets in Asia and it previously hinted that the digital personal assistant might imminently be released in South Korea.

Microsoft has made Cortana available in thirteen different regions across the globe with support for eight different languages. The digital personal assistant is already available in China and Japan.

While the company hasn’t provided a confirmed date yet, executive vice president of artificial intelligence and research at Microsoft Harry Shum has confirmed via Twitter that Cortana is coming to South Korea soon.

Considering the fact that Cortana is already available in two of the three key Asian markets for Microsoft, it’s only a matter of time before the company releases in South Korea as well. Even if it hasn’t confirmed a release date right now, it’s evident that Cortana will go live in South Korea sooner rather than later.
