nintendo-switchJust like smartphones and computers, consoles are really only as good as the titles of games that are available for it. Take for example the Wii U which was an interesting console to say the least, but the lack of triple A titles and support from developers led to it being kind of a flop, but hopefully that will change with the upcoming Nintendo Switch.

In fact EA has some pretty big plans for the console. During the Credit Suisse 2016 Annual Technology Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, EA’s CCO Peter Moore praised Nintendo while at the same time teasing that the company had a “major game” that they plan on releasing for the platform.

According to Moore, “Nintendo has always been and will always be an very important partner in this industry. They have some of the best first party development studios in the world, and some of the most valuable intellectual properties in the world. We have announced publicly that we got a partnership with them on their new platform, the Switch, we haven’t talked in detail on what’s that about. You can imagine, as you heard, that a major game will be distributed on that platform.”

As to what that title might be, it remains to be seen, but it’s not the first time that EA has teased that they will be releasing a game for the Switch. So far other major developers include Bethesda in which it seems that they might have confirmed that Skyrim will be one of the Switch’s playable titles. In any case more details are expected to be shared next year, so check back with us then for more updates.
