samsunglogoIt is widely believed that the upcoming Galaxy S8 will be available in two different options. This is based on a recent rumor that suggests that Samsung could be going even bigger than before for its display, going up to a whopping 6.2-inches for the “Plus” model of the Galaxy S8. While we can’t be sure about that, leakster Evan Blass has confirmed that we can expect at least two models.

According to his tweet, Blass revealed two model numbers for the upcoming Galaxy S8. “Samsung Galaxy S8 models are indeed skipping SM-G94* model numbers, will ship as SM-G950 & SM-G955.” This suggests that there will be two versions, which in the past meant one flat screen and one curved screen, but the rumors have claimed that Samsung will do away with flat screen options for the Galaxy S8.

In addition to “confirming” the Galaxy S8’s model numbers, he also tweeted, “Know what else is in the works? SM-N950.” For those unfamiliar, that particular model number series has been used by Galaxy Note handsets in the past, and assuming he’s right it looks like this is the model number for 2017’s Galax Note 8, or whatever Samsung plans on calling it.

There were rumors to suggest that Samsung was done with the Note series, but apparently when confirming that Note 7 users would get 50% off the Galaxy S8, Samsung also seemed to have confirmed that there would be a Note 8 as well. We guess it is a bit early to start wondering about the Note 8, but Blass has been proven right countless times in the past, so there’s a good chance that his latest leak could be the real deal.
