huawei-p10The Huawei P9 was launched earlier this year and one of the handset’s signature features was the dual lens camera on the back that relied on Leica’s technology, thus resulting in a handset with some pretty impressive optics. However the design of the phone itself was honestly nothing to shout about.

However that is expected to change next year. Thanks to alleged leaked renders of the Huawei P10, it seems that Huawei could be taking a page out of Samsung’s book playbook by giving the P10 a curved display. As you can see in the image above, the P10 will feature similar curved displays on its side that we previously saw on Samsung’s Edge series of phones and the Galaxy Note 7.

It also looks like Huawei will be maintaining their relationship with Leica by retaining the same dual lens setup, but that’s what we can see on the outside. We’re not sure what kind of changes they might be making under the hood or to the image processing engine. It also looks like there will be no physical home button and there will be a round fingerprint sensor on the back, versus before where the sensor was square.

In ay case take it with a grain of salt, but we have to say that the design of the P10, assuming it is true, it looking pretty sleek compared to its predecessor. No word on when the phone will be announced, but with CES and MWC taking place early 2017, perhaps we can expect it at either event.
