It was a rather interesting move by Apple when instead of launching their own standalone displays, they announced the LG Ultrafines which are LG displays made specifically for Apple. If you’re wondering what the monitors will look like in person, what comes in the box, and how it is setup, YouTuber Marques Brownlee has recently upload an unboxing video that you can check out above.

In the video Brownlee unboxes the 5K version of the LG Ultrafine monitor with a 27-inch display. Note that there is a 21.5-inch model as well, but that model will sport a 4K resolution instead of 5K, although given that it is nearly half the price of the 5K version, perhaps it might not be such a bad deal. We also want to remind our readers that Apple is currently discounting the Ultrafine displays until the end of the year.

The discounts go up to 25% which could result in some massive savings, so if you’ve been eyeing that 27-inch 5K Ultrafine display, now might be a good time to get it. In case you’re learning about these displays for the first time, the LG Ultrafines essentially replaces Apple’s Thunderbolt Displays which were officially discontinued earlier this year.

One of benefits of these displays is that they connect via USB-C to your laptop, which means that it can charge your laptop at the same time you are using it, thus reducing the need for extra cables. In any case if you’d like to see the unboxing and how Brownlee sets it up, check out the video above for the details.
