xiaomi-mi-note-2If there is one thing Xiaomi loves to do, is boast about how many phones they have sold in how many minutes or seconds. We’re sure that if Apple or Samsung wanted to do the same they could, but for now it seems to be something that the company is particularly proud of. That being said, it looks like they have done it again.

According to the reports, it seems that Xiaomi’s latest handset the Mi Note 2 has managed to sell out its first batch within 50 seconds. However we don’t have the official numbers so it’s hard to say exactly how many units were part of that first batch, but then again Xiaomi has managed to rise to the top as one of the leading smartphone manufacturers, so chances are we are looking at some impressive figures.

In case you missed the announcement, the Mi Note 2 was launched about a week or so ago.  The handset in question is pretty much an exact replica in terms of design as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It also marks the first time that Xiaomi has launched a phone with dual curved edge displays, mimicking what Samsung has been doing for the past year or so.

If anything this announcement more or less proves that Xiaomi has got a hit on their hands. It will be interesting to see if the company will be able to generate that level of enthusiasm when they launch in the US in the next few years.
