Nintendo may have confirmed its next-generation console a few weeks ago and released press renders but it’s yet to allow members of the press to get their hands on the console itself. That why no live images of the console have been posted online so far. The company is going to change that early next year as it has scheduled a Nintendo Switch hands-on event for January 13th.

Nintendo has announced that it’s going to host a private five-hour Nintendo Switch hands-on event in New York on January 13th, 2017. It will be the first time that members of the press are actually able to see what this console feels like in the flesh and fans will certainly be waiting to find out what they think about it.

The Nintendo Switch hands-on event follows the streamed presentation on January 12th in which the company is going to reveal more information about the console. Nintendo has made fans wait for additional information ever since it confirmed the console in a three-minute announcement trailer released in October.

It’s during the presentation that Nintendo is finally going to confirm the pricing and release date for its next-generation console. The company has previously said that we should expect the Nintendo Switch to be released around March next year.
