oneplus-3t-official-2
OnePlus recently launched an upgraded version of the flagship smartphone it released some eight months ago. The OnePlus 3T is now official and available for purchase from the company. OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will no longer be sold in the United States and across the European Union, however, that doesn’t mean it won’t get software support for at least the next couple of years. The company has said that both handsets will share an update schedule from here on out.

Saying that they are “two versions of the same phone,” which is literally what these two handsets are, OnePlus has confirmed that OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will receive Android 7.0 Nougat in December.

This is going to eliminate concerns about software support for the OnePlus 3 now that the handset is no longer going to be sold in two key markets, the U.S. and the EU.

It has already been said that the OnePlus 3 is going to receive a Nougat beta later this month, the company is yet to confirm whether the beta firmware will be released for the OnePlus 3T as well.

Those who pick up the new device will certainly want some clarity on this. OnePlus is yet to provide a confirmed release date for Nougat next month.
