play_store_trendingIf you’re looking for a new movie to watch, there are many ways you can go about it, such as asking friends for recommendations, searching YouTube for trailers, or alternatively if you’re an Android user, it seems that Google has recently introduced a new “Trending” section for Entertainment in the Play Store that basically shows you what’s hot at the moment.

Of course whether or not you are into catching up on the latest trends is a different story, but for people who love staying up to date with the latest movies and whatnot, this new section/feature could prove to be rather invaluable. Also when users tap on one of the trending topics, it will expand and include more information about the trending topic at hand.

For example in the screenshots above when users tap on the Doctor Strange movie, it expands and includes a little background on the movie, as well as shows the cast who will be starring in the movie, YouTube trailers for the movie, as well as various clips such as interviews with the cast members that users might be interested in seeing.

If you are interested in exploring this, fire up the Play Store for the details, although we’re not sure if this change is being reflected on devices around the world or if it could be limited to certain regions for now.
