Niantic launched Pokemon Go earlier this year and it instantly became a worldwide success. The game has earned tens of millions of dollars for the company since it was released and it’s safe to say that Pokemon Go has been a success. Niantic certainly won’t be resting on its laurels and we can expect it to continue development on this game. If a new claim is believed, the Pokemon Go Generation 2 release date just might have been leaked.

Someone claiming to be a Starbucks employee took to Reddit a couple of days ago to share what he claims to be an internal memo with details about a new marketing campaign coinciding with the launch of Pokemon Go Generation 2.

The memo mentions December 7th as the launch date for Pokemon Go Generation 2. The marketing campaign revolves around a Pokemon Frappuccino and lures that will be dropped at all Starbucks stores.

It merits mentioning here that this source is quite shady. There’s no indication on the memo to suggest that it came from Starbucks aside from the fact that the word “Pokemon” is actually spelled as “Pokeman” multiple times in the memo.

I would take this with a healthy dose of salt at this point in time. Niantic is yet to confirm details about the next version of Pokemon Go and until it does, it would be best to wait for official information.
