pokemon-go-dailyIt is no secret that Pokemon GO is no longer as popular as it once was. Many players have cited the lack of new features and lack of progression as one of the reasons why they stopped playing the game. It also explains why the game’s paying customer base is on the decline, but that’s something Niantic hopes to change.

In an announcement on its website, Niantic has revealed that they are working on an upcoming update that will be able to give players daily bonuses for completing daily activities. If you’ve ever played an MMORPG such as World of Warcraft, these are called “dailies” which are basically quests that can only be completed once a day and change from time to time.

Just like its purpose was in MMORPGs, it seems that the same concept is being applied here with the intention of trying to keep players playing on a daily basis. The bonuses will change depending on how long you play consecutively. For example catching a Pokemon everyday will nab players 500XP and 600 Stardust.

If you were to keep this streak going for 7 days in a row, the amount of XP and Stardust will increase. The same is applied to visiting PokeStops on a daily basis, with the rewards increasing if you were to keep at it for 7 days straight. There is no ETA on when the update will be available, but we’ll keep an eye out for it.
