It has been quite a while since we last saw a Resident Evil game, which is why it is understandable that many gamers were excited when the folks at Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 7. Now we have seen trailers and gameplay footage, but in case that wasn’t enough, you’re in luck.

The folks at IGN managed to sit down and play the game for about four hours. They then took some of that footage and compressed it into an 8 minute video which you can check out for yourselves above. This is gameplay footage which means that what you see now is probably what you can expect when it is released.

So far we have to say that the game looks good and every trailer and video released so far seems to affirm that. Resident Evil 7 is also going to be playable in virtual reality, so if you wanted a new way to scare yourself silly, that’s one of the methods you can look forward to trying for yourself.

Resident Evil 7 is set for a release come 24th of January, 2017, which means that we only have about a couple of months left. It will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. No word on whether we can expect it to arrive on the Nintendo Switch, although we wouldn’t mind if it did.
