Samsung-PayWith credit cards, sometimes there are benefits to using one over the other. For example some restaurants might offer discounts if a certain credit card issued by a particular bank is used, or some cards might offer better rebates and points, and so on. Now it seems that Samsung wants to encourage users to use Samsung Pay by launching a rewards program.

According to Samsung, “Samsung Rewards works just like a points-based credit card rewards program. Every time you make a purchase with Samsung Pay, you earn rewards points. Samsung Rewards also allows you to ‘double dip’ on rewards points – that is, with every credit card purchase made via Samsung Pay, you may be able to earn points, miles or cash back from your card’s issuer, as well as points toward Samsung Rewards.”

Basically the more you use Samsung Pay, the more points you’ll be able to earn. Samsung will also introduce loyalty tiers with point multipliers, so think of it like a video game where each tier you advance to will nab you more points in return. Those points can then be used to redeem a variety of rewards.

This includes purchasing Samsung products, vouchers, gift cards, and Samsung Rewards Visa Prepaid Card value. The rewards program will be launching this week, so in case the previous incentives weren’t enough to tempt you to use the platform, perhaps this will.
