nintendo_switch_gamingWhen the Nintendo Switch was shown off, apart from the obvious first-party titles, what got many players excited was the fact that the trailer seemed to show off Bethesda’s Skyrim. However both Bethesda threw some cold water on the excitement by saying they can’t confirm anything right now which we can only assume it is due to an NDA.

Nintendo also followed up by saying that what we saw in the trailer might not necessarily represent the actual console and its games. However it seems that in a recent interview with Glixel, Bethesda Game Studios director and executive producer Todd Howard might have confirmed that Skyrim will be one of the Switch’s titles.

When asked if we could bring Skyrim with us on the go while playing the Switch, Howard replied by saying, “It’s the same game on the TV and on the other screen,” which seems to be a confirmation of sorts. Howard also went on to say that Bethesda would be supporting the console and that what they’ve seen so far as far as the console is concerned is one of the best demos he has ever seen.

Howard also points out that developing for the Switch is the first time in a long, long time since they’ve done anything with Nintendo. That being said, we guess we shouldn’t be surprised that Skyrim will launch for the Switch (the rumors are suggesting the same). After all why show off a game if you don’t plan to launch it, right?
