snap-spectacles
Snapchat unveiled a new wearable device back in September called Snapchat Spectacles. As the name suggests, these are a pair of glasses that can take Snaps. They are meant to make it easier for users to share their life on Snapchat without having to put a phone in front of their face. Snapchat Spectacles are now available for purchase today through some unorthodox vending machines.

Using the Spectacles is quite simple. Put them on and press a button so that it can record a 10-second video from a first-person point-of-view. Press that button again and it will record another video. All of them can then be shared via the app to all your Snapchat buddies. They are actually a pair of functioning sunglasses as well so you get some eye protection as well while you’re out on the town, looking for things to Snap.

About those unorthodox vending machines, the company is calling them Snapbots, and they will travel across the United States to allow people to pay $130 for these glasses. Each Snapbot is going to be in a location for about a day, the first has been placed right outside Snapchat’s headquarters near Venice Beach in California.

If you want to find out where one of these vending machines is located, head over to the Spectacles website. The company says that it’s only going to sell the wearable device through these vending machines, at least for the foreseeable future.
