Spotify is a music streaming service used by millions of people across the globe. Gatorade is a popular sports drink consumed by athletes and gym buffs alike. The two companies are now teaming up to amplifying the workout music experience. Gatorade Amplify will generate personalized playlists using songs from Spotify’s library based on the user’s listening history. The tracks will be energetic so that they help users get more out of their workout.

The personalized playlists that Gatorade Amplify creates will look at the “acousticness,” energy, danceability, and loudness of a track selecting it. Users will have the option to tailor the playlists to their high-intensity workouts or interval training, however, the second option will only be available to Spotify Premium subscribers.

Users just have to select a duration. Playlists can be of up to 180 minutes and made up of 3 genres, choices include hip-hop/rap, punk, pop, alternative, metal, rock, and electronic. These playlists can then be saved to a user’s library and they will automatically update with new songs every week.

Gatorade Amplify also features an exclusive high-energy workout mix that’s produced by the famous DJ Steve Aoki. The message here is simple. Grab a pair of headphones, a bottle of Gatorade and get your workout on.
