apple-macbook-pro-1Apple’s new 2016 MacBook Pros are an investment simply because they are so incredibly expensive. Whether or not you can justify paying for the laptops is entirely up to you, but we’re sure that some are also wondering if getting the version without the Touch Bar could be a way to save money, or would you end up be missing out on a feature?

Sure, you could play around with the Touch Bar in the Apple Store, but obviously this pales in comparison compared to using it on a daily basis. The good news that thanks to developer Daniel Jalkut of Red Sweater Software, he has created an app for Mac computers called Touché that will simulate the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro.

Prior to this, there was an app created for the Mac and iPad that would do the same thing, but installing that particular app was a tad tricky, so if you’re looking for something more simple and straightforward, this could be an alternative. Of course the experience of using Touch Bar on the screen versus on the touch panel is very different, but hopefully it will still give you a good enough idea of what to expect.

The app itself is a free download so if you’d like to check it out, then head on over to its website for the download. Uses will also be required to run the latest version of macOS which is 10.12.1 build number 16B2657.
