galaxy-s7-edge-blue-coral_03

We knew that the Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was coming due to previous leaks. Some handsets of that color were spotted with a Verizon logo. The first confirmation came from Samsung Singapore that confirmed it for its territory. As colors are often different per region, we were waiting for the official word from either Samsung Mobile HQ or Samsung Mobile USA. This is now official.

Samsung Mobile USA has now confirmed that the Galaxy S7 Edge “Blue Coral” will be available for purchase “at major wireless carriers… prior to the new year”. This is quite vague for making purchase plans, so it might be nice if Samsung updates this soon, but for now we know it’s coming, and vaguely when.

The wording is interesting because it makes it sound like there won’t be an unlocked version with this color, although it doesn’t completely shut the door on that possibility either. We know that the Blue Coral color was in short supply with the now defunct Galaxy Note 7 handset (check the photo gallery bellow). It’s not surprising because it’s a very beautiful color option and my personal favorite.

The Blue Coral color was not originally part of the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge color palette, but not long after the Note 7 phone was shelved for good, Samsung decided to include it. I’m not sure if it’s due to re-purposing some paint/metal sheets which were ready to use for the Note 7, but it’s a great color option for potential S7 Edge buyers.
