Regardless of all the cool and nifty features that the Nintendo Switch might potentially have, at the end of the day if there are a lack of interesting titles available for the platform, it will not appeal to games. After all there are only so many first-party titles that Nintendo can develop without gamers getting impatient.

However thankfully that might not be the case for the Switch. According to industry analyst Michael Pachter, he claims to have heard that the Switch is actually a pretty easy platform to develop for. This was revealed during his weekly show the “Pachter Factor” in which he was quoted as saying, “Actually heard from developers that Nintendo is the easiest of the three to develop for. The issue’s going to be processing power.”

This is actually not the first time we’ve heard criticisms leveled at the Switch’s processing power. While nothing official has been announced, we have heard rumors about how it is less powerful than the PS4, which is saying a lot considering that the PS4 is about 3 years old and now has a more powerful variant in the form of the PS4 Pro.

We’ve also heard how the Switch’s performance will vary depending on whether it is docked as apparently it is 40% less powerful when undocked. In any case only time will tell how powerful the Switch is, and how developers and gamers will react to it. More official information is expected to be revealed at Nintendo’s 12th January, 2017 event.
