iphone-7-plus-double-camera-BThe iPhone is probably one of Apple’s most successful products of all time, if not the most successful. However in recent times, sales of the iPhone have been on the decline, which is to be expected given that the market is at peak saturation, plus it is possible that customers are also getting bored by the lack of “innovative” features.

In fact the analysts over at Oppenheimer seem to think that Apple might be too reliant on the iPhone for revenue. In a note obtained by Business Insider, Oppenheimer’s Andrew Uerkwitz says, “We believe Apple lacks the courage to lead the next generation of innovation (AI, cloud-based services, messaging); instead will become more reliant than ever on the iPhone.”

He also adds, “We believe Apple is about to embark on a decade-long malaise. The risks to the company have never been greater.” If you have been following the tech news scene, you’ll realize that perhaps some of his claims might be true. There are many who have expressed their feeling that Apple is neglecting its Mac computers, products which was what brought Apple to fame in the first place.

For example despite unveiling a brand new design of the Mac Pro several years ago, Apple has kind of neglected it since. Users of the new MacBook Pros are also expressing that the laptop, while perfectly capable, certainly does not exude the “Pro” qualities that it used to back in the day. Are the analysts right? We suppose only time will tell, but what do you guys think?
