We’ve been hearing for a few weeks now that Samsung is soon going to introduce a new color option for the Galaxy S7 Edge. It was said that the flagship would be offered in Black Pearl, leaked pictures showed that it looked not unlike the Jet Black iPhone 7. After weeks of rumors Samsung made it official today. It’s releasing the Black Pearl Galaxy S7, however, this color option will only be available with 128GB of storage.

Samsung says that the Black Pearl color has been designed to be modern and striking. The black finish covers the entire device, even the frame is black, so add depth to the overall design.

This happens to be the seventh color option for the Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung decided to offer additional colors to further increase demand for the handset after the demise of the Galaxy Note 7. It’s already offering the Galaxy S7 Edge in Blue Coral, a color that was introduced with the Galaxy Note 7 first.

Samsung says that this new glossy color “radiates quality and luxury,” and that it’s going to be exclusive to 128GB versions of the device. It’s going to be released in select markets on December 9th. Pricing and availability information will be confirmed by the company’s local arms in these markets.
