It was reported yesterday that the anti-hero Deadpool is going to make an appearance in the upcoming Wolverine movie. It’s Hugh Jackman’s last outing as the beast we all like and while yesterday we entertained the thought of him coming face to face again with Deadpool, it has been confirmed by the man who plays Deadpool himself that this is not going to happen.

It was reported by The Wrap that Ryan Reynolds a.k.a Deadpool has filmed a scene as the anti-hero for the upcoming Wolverine movie titled Logan. It was mentioned in the report that this was possibly going to be a post-credits scene so it’s not like it would have had a major impact on the new movie’s storyline.

The denials came swiftly, the first from director James Mangold, who tweeted in all caps that “Deadpool is not in my film,” even throwing in the “Does all caps help confirm it?” line to make sure that he was able to get the point across.

Reynolds himself has tweeted that the report about Deadpool making an appearance in Logan is not true. Jackman’s last Wolverine movie titled Logan is scheduled for release in March 2017. A Deadpool sequel is in the pipeline as well so we’ll definitely get to see more of the sassy anti-hero, but it hasn’t been confirmed when the sequel will be released.
