fb_events_androidBack in October, Facebook launched a dedicated app for Events. However the app was only for iOS devices at that time, so those on Android were missing out on it. The good news for Android users is that the wait is over as Facebook has officially (and finally) brought the Events app onto the Android platform.

For those who are hearing about this dedicated app for the first time, or maybe you forgot what it was about, basically these are your Facebook Events that have been taken out and put into a standalone app. This means that if you’re the sort that attends a ton of events and want to know what’s happening around you, or what your next event will be, then this dedicated app could be a better place to look for that instead of through the Facebook app itself.

According to Facebook, “All the things you love about events on Facebook are still the same but with this app you can have it all in one place. See the latest events activity, discover new things to do with friends and quickly get to event info. Events works seamlessly with Facebook, so your friends can see what you’re interested in and what you’ve invited them to, even if they don’t have the app.”

The app is a free download so if you’re interested in checking it out, then head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
