Twitter has been trying to transform itself into a niche online live streaming destination, streaming everything from sporting events to presidential debates and election coverage. The microblogging network has now confirmed that it’s also going to host the Golden Globes red carpet live stream. Those who like to watch the proceedings as celebrities make their way to the venue for the evening’s festivities will be able to catch all of the red carpet action live on Twitter.

Twitter confirmed today that it has teamed up with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions to host the Golden Globes red carpet live stream. It’s going to stream the official red carpet pre-show for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards live on January 8th, 2017.

Those who use the service in the United States will be able to catch the Golden Globes red carpet live stream from 3 pm to 5 pm PT on goldenglobes.twitter.com, Twitter Moments, and the @goldenglobes handle.

Twitter is also going to enable fans to ask celebrities any questions that they might have, some of them will even get answered. As far as the awards show proper is concerned, it’s only going to be aired on NBC, Twitter won’t be live streaming that.
