google-tests-new-mobile-recipe-search-1We’re sure many of you guys have searched for recipes on Google and for the most part, Google does a pretty good job of listing recipes and even provides a brief preview of the instructions at the top of its search page. However it looks like Google is looking to improve upon it more.

According to Google Operating System, it seems that Google is looking to refine the way users search for recipes. As you can see in the screenshot to the right, a search for “avocado mayo”, there will be additional keywords that users can use to refine their search even further, like avocado mayo with chicken, salad, a sandwich, and so on.

Users will also be able to scroll through a huge list of recipe cards that they can then click on to go to the website. This will most likely be useful for those looking for general recipes in which the keyword suggestions would help users find new recipes or new ways of using a particular ingredient.

However as it stands, these changes appear to be mobile-only and searching via desktop won’t show those features for now. Given Google’s increased focus on mobile, these improvements shouldn’t really be that surprising.
