The war between iOS and Android is still going strong and it doesn’t look like it will be dying down anytime soon. Both Apple and Google have made jabs at each other, and have also released tools to help users from the other side switch over if they wanted to. However Google’s really trying to make it a piece of cake by launching a website for it.
Basically this is a revamped version of its “Switch” website where Google lays it out in 3 easy-to-follow steps on how iPhone users can switch from iOS to Android. This involves users downloading the Google Drive app that will be used to backup the data on your iPhone, such as photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events.
Then all users have to do is sign into their Google account on their Android device and they’ll be good to go assuming the backup process went smoothly. As for apps, unfortunately you can’t transfer between platforms yet. However the upside is that apps usually found on iOS can be found on Android, and vice versa, at least as far as the major apps are concerned.
