HTC’s smartphones may not be making waves in the market but the company’s virtual reality headset continues to hold its own against rivals like the Oculus Rift. The HTC Vive headset is a proper high-end VR solution that requires a compatible PC to function. If you’ve been meaning to pick it up you will be happy to find out that the HTC Vive price has been discounted by $100 just for a limited time.

The HTC Vive price is normally $799 but for a limited time, the virtual reality headset can be purchased for $699 from both Amazon and HTC Store. Other participating retailers are also offering the headset at the same discounted price.

Bear in mind that you don’t just need to spend $699 on this headset to get a powerful VR experience. You’ll also need a compatible PC since this isn’t a standalone VR headset. If you don’t already have one, that’s also going to set you back quite a bit of money, so all the more reason to take advantage of this promotion and save $100.

The $699 package gets you the HTC Vive headset, two Vive motion controllers as well as two base stations that power more immersive controls. HTC is also including free copies of Zombie Training Simulator and The Gallery: Episode 1 – Call of the Starseed with the headset.
