lg-g-pad-iii-101LG has just announced a new tablet in the form of the LG G Pad III 10.1. The announcement was made in Korea (via GSMArena) and based on its specs, it doesn’t seem like there’s much to shout about, but it should be good enough if all you’re looking for is a tablet to surf the web, watch movies, or read some e-books.

So what are we looking at? As its name implies, the LG G Pad III 10.1 is a tablet with a 10.1-inch display. It has a Full HD 1080p resolution which isn’t particularly high, but it should still be pretty decent and we’re not sure if many can even tell the pixels apart. It also supports LTE connectivity so using it on the go without relying on public WiFi hotspots is possible.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It will come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. There is a 5MP rear and front-facing camera, so don’t expect amazing optics, but for casual photographers it should be good enough. We’re also looking at a decently-sized 6,000mAh battery, with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow running the show.

Unfortunately for now the tablet is limited to the Korean market where it is priced at around $360. There is no word on whether LG will eventually bring it stateside or to other markets, but the company has also promised that come 2017, a version of the tablet with a stylus will be launched.
