harmonyalexaA couple of months ago, we reported that Logitech’s Harmony remote gained some new features thanks to integration with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant platform. However if you thought that was all there is to it, think again because in a post by Logitech, it seems that the Harmony remote has gained more Alexa skills.

According to Logitech, “New Alexa features have Harmony users talking! Starting today, you’ll be able to access a new Alexa skill with Logitech Harmony that allows you to control your entertainment experience with Amazon Echo or Echo Dot even more. We are constantly adding new functionality to Logitech Harmony hub-based products and are excited to add the following capabilities to our Alexa integration for folks in the UK and U.S.”

So what new skills did the Harmony gain? Users will now be able to adjust volume using their voice. They’ll also be able to navigate channels directly, access to media playback controls, and a sleep timer, so if you’re the sort that falls asleep in front of your TV, you can set it so that the Harmony will shut it off after a certain amount of time.

These features and skills should already be live so if you own the Harmony remote, then you’ll want to check it out. In the meantime additional details about the Harmony and Alexa can be found on Logitech’s support website.
