Netflix boasts an impressive library of original as well as licensed content. The online video streaming service can provide additional functionality for the content that it owns and it takes full advantage of that to provide more value to subscribers. Netflix has now confirmed that dynamic previews have gone live for its original TV shows and movies. This means that the titles will start previewing automatically as users browse the library.

Netflix dynamic previews will make it very easy for users to get a sample of what they’ll get before they actually decide to click on the play button to stream the original content.

The dynamic previews will be available across all of Netflix’s TV interfaces, including Android TV, smart TVs, PlayStation 4, Xbox, and Roku. The previews should not be confused with trailers as they are simply tailored synopses of characters, stories, and tone of the content that give an idea of what to expect but don’t give away any spoilers.

Netflix says that dynamic previews will help users easily browse through its ever-expanding library of original TV shows and movies. It’s planning to significantly increase the number of original content that it offers next year so this is just one of the ways it’s getting subscribers excited about that.
