iphone-7-bottomIt seems that these days Apple has quite a bit of things that they are celebrating. For example despite the IDC’s numbers showing that Apple Watch shipments are on the decline, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook claims that the holiday week set a new sales record for the smartwatch. The company’s music streaming service is also said to have amassed over 20 million paid subscribers.

Now according to a recent tweet by Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller, he revealed that for the month of November, the sales of apps via the iTunes App Store was the highest in the history of the App Store, and that it was also a record breaker. Schiller did not dive into any details, but then again Apple isn’t really one to share the specifics so we guess we’ll just have to take his word for it.

Schiller’s tweet reads, “November 2016 was a record breaker for the #AppStore – the highest monthly sales ever in App Store history!” However based on previous records, we can only assume that it probably crossed the billion dollar mark as that was how much was spent last year, according to AppleInsider who cites sales from the 20th of December to the 3rd of January.
