If you were one of the lucky ones who got to purchase the NES Classic Edition, perhaps you might want to purchase some accessories for your new mini-console. Gaming accessories manufacturer Nyko today announced the launch of its wireless controller for the NES Classic Edition. It has also launched a six-foot extension cable for the mini-console.

Nyko Miniboss wireless controller for the NES Classic Edition is now available for purchase from Nyko.com, Amazon, and GameStop. The company says that this is the first third-party, rechargeable, wireless controller for the mini-console which enables wireless gaming from distances of up to 30 feet. It costs $24.99. The controller will also be available via Toys”R”Us later this month.

The Extend Link is Nyko’s six-foot extension cable for the wired NES Classic Edition controller which effectively triples its reach. The cable is also available from the company’s own online store as well as Amazon and GameStop for $9.99.

Nyko’s controller has a rechargeable lithium ion battery which promises up to 15 hours of continuous playtime. It can even charge while it’s being used to play for extended gaming sessions. The controller happens to be compatible with the Nintendo Wii U and Wii consoles as well.

The NES Classic Edition has been very hard to come by ever since it was released a few weeks ago. Whenever a retailer has additional inventory available it gets sold out very quickly. Nintendo has promised to keep providing inventory throughout the holiday season so if you haven’t been able to pick one up yet, your time may come one day.
