Multiplatform games often fail to reach resolution parity across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Normally, it’s Xbox One owners that get the short end of the stick which is why many of them are particularly interested to know if a multiplatform game is going to hit the same resolution as it does on the PS4. They will be happy to find out that Resident Evil 7 60FPS and 1080p resolution support has been confirmed for the Xbox One. Even HDR gaming has been confirmed for Xbox One S.

It was recently confirmed by Masachika Kawata that Resident Evil 7 60FPS and 1080p resolution support is a done deal for the Xbox One. The game is also going to support High Dynamic Range color ranges if it’s being played on the Xbox One S.

Fans of the franchise are anxiously waiting for this title to drop. It’s going to focus on horror gameplay and will put the focus on key hunting, exploration, puzzles, harsh combat, and scarce resources.

Fans have high hopes from Resident Evil 7 and it will certainly be interesting to see whether or not the game lives up to their expectations. Resident Evil 7 is going to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam as well as the Windows 10 Store. Capcom is yet to confirm if the game is going to have support for Xbox Play Anywhere.
