resident-evil-7A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that the PC demo for Resident Evil 7 would be coming later this month. Granted we’re only a couple of weeks away from the end of December, but you’ll be pleased to learn that the demo is now available if you’re interested in checking it out. Better late than never, right?

For gamers who are interested, the demo can be download via Steam. It weighs a whopping 3.2 GB so you’ll want to make sure you have enough space on your hard drive, and a relatively fast internet connection otherwise this could take a while. However as pointed out by Rock, Paper, Shotgun, the demo for the PC will be a bit different from the console version.

This is because the console version has been out for a while now, and Capcom has from time to time update it with bits and pieces, which unfortunately did not make its way onto the PC demo. It is possible that these bits and pieces could still come, but it seems unlikely, at least not without it feeling too rushed.

Resident Evil 7 has been set for a release on the 24th of January, 2017. There is also support for virtual reality so if you own the PlayStation VR, you’ll be able to enjoy the game and scare yourself silly in VR.
