mario-festiveSo it has been a few days since Nintendo released Super Mario Run for iOS. For those who have managed to complete all the various levels, you might be interested to learn that Nintendo has pushed out an update for the game in which they are adding some festive items to the game in the form of decorations.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Super Mario Run, in addition to playing the game and trying to outdo yourself and others on the various levels, players will also have a chance to decorate their own Mushroom Kingdom. This comes in the form of various buildings and decorations that they can choose and buy using the gold coins they earn in the game (which is done by playing each level and collecting the coins as well as unlocking achievements).

In the update, it seems that Nintendo wants everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom to get into the holiday spirit and as you can see, they are clearly themed with Christmas in mind. These decorations are the Poinsetta, Sparkly Christmas Tree, and Sparkly Snow Globe. They should already be available so if you are playing the game and want to jazz up your kingdom, you’ll be able to find them in the Kingdom Builder mode.

In the meantime if you haven’t downloaded the game yet, you can get your hands on it via the iTunes App Store.
