The TV used to be the device we used when we wanted to show TV shows or movies. Fast forward to today, and our TV can do a lot more than that. It can play games, let us surf the web, lets us do our shopping, and now it seems that you can even surf for potential romantic partners, thanks to Tinder launching for the Apple TV.

According to Tinder, “Tinder on Apple TV is our latest innovation in quality fun. Invite friends and family, set the playlist to shuffle and put out the chips and dip. With a new, swipeable remote control and the world’s hottest app now in HD, modern dating is taking a page from the age-old book of matchmaking. Let’s face it—the people who know you best have traditionally had a high rate of success when helping you pick a partner.”

Tinder seems to have managed to creep into various devices ever since its launch on the smartphone. We’ve seen it arrive on smartwatches, so in reality the idea of launching on the Apple TV shouldn’t really be that surprising. The best part is that it actually takes advantage of the Apple TV’s new remote control that supports gestures.

We guess the only thing you’ll have to worry about is people using your Apple TV and launching Tinder, but if you’re not the type that’s shy about your dating life and don’t mind browsing for potential dates in the middle of the living room, perhaps Tinder for the Apple TV could be worth checking out.
