lost-in-londonPretty much all the movies you’ve seen to-date is the effort of pre-production, filming, post-production, and so on. Basically a lot of work has gone into making the movie look great by refilming certain scenes, having actors dub their voices for certain parts, and more. However actor and director Woody Harrelson wants to change that come 2017.

Harrelson has announced his plans to live stream his movie, “Lost in London” that stars Owen Wilson and Willie Nelson. The movie will be streamed live to moviegoers and they will actually be able to watch the movie as it is being shot. This means that if you’ve always wondered what goes on during the filming process, this will put you right there.

This also means that any screwups during the filming or acting cannot be unseen or redone as Harrelson is aiming for a single continuous take. He was quoted as saying, “I’ve always loved theatre and film and wanted to find the best way to merge the two. When I decided to shoot this in real time, I realized it wasn’t quite like true theatre because the one piece missing was a live audience. By broadcasting the film live as it is being shot I hope to truly blend the excitement of live theater with the scale and scope of the film.”

Whether or not this will turn out well remains to be seen, but it will definitely be the first of its kind and who knows, could inspire future similar efforts.
