amazon-dash-candyAmazon’s Dash buttons are incredibly handy if you’re looking to restock on items that you ran out of and don’t want to have to go to a website and go through the whole ordering process, or driving out. It seems like it’s great for the everyday essentials, but Amazon thinks that the Dash button could be great for indulgences as well.

So much so that the company has announced a new Dash button that at a press of the button, it will order its customers various assorted candies from around the US. Dubbed the “Prime Surprise Sweets”, as its name implies this is clearly aimed at Prime customers. TechCrunch also notes that it seems to be invite-only at the moment, but those who are interested can get in line.

According to Amazon’s description, “The Prime Surprise Sweets Dash Button is a Wi-Fi connected device that orders Prime members a surprise box of delicious treats from small-batch artisans anytime you want, at just the press of a button. Every time you push your button, you will get a new, unique box for just $18 delivered with FREE Two-Day Shipping for Prime members.”

As to what is inside the box, it remains unclear as Amazon wants to keep it a surprise, so we guess you’ll just have to take your chances. In the meantime Amazon has launched its virtual Dash buttons so we guess you could create something similar for yourself except with candy that you have chosen.
