Amazon appears to be dreaming up new ways to make you shop online. It would make sense for the company to do this given that it has an inherent interest in making sure people spend more money on its online marketplace. A new job offer at the company suggests that Amazon VR shopping apps might be in the pipeline. It looks like Amazon wants to jump on the VR bandwagon to push its business.

Amazon has a position open for a “Creative Director, Virtual Reality,” the person will be tasked with multiple responsibilities which include having to “envision the future of Amazon’s VR solutions and guide our creative and technical teams to produce compelling, world-class experiences.”

The job offer comes from the company’s A9 team that operates product search and advertising for its online marketplace along with some other projects. The team includes engineers, designers, scientists, and product managers according to the job listing which also mentions that and “we are building Amazon’s VR shopping experience for use by millions of customers on a wide variety of VR devices.”

Amazon hasn’t officially confirmed plans to launch VR shopping apps, though, so it might be a while before we see something like this from the company.
