AT&T Tower
AT&T has set out to simplify international roaming rates for its subscribers. Many frequently complain that carriers make their international roaming rates and charges too complex to understand which is why it ends up being so expensive for them. The country’s second largest carrier wants to eliminate that concern, at least for its customers, so today it’s announcing the launch of a $10 International Day Pass which will allow subscribers to use their domestic plan overseas.

Those who purchase the $10 International Day Pass won’t be charged per minute, message, or MB when they’re roaming in more than 100 countries. They will just pay $10 per device for any 24-hour period that they use their device in an International Day Pass country.

This means that they will be able to talk and text all they want and even use their data plan in more than 100 countries. They will only pay for the days that they use their domestic plan abroad.

The day pass has to be individually added to each device one time and then it’s available whenever they travel abroad. AT&T does mention that the day pass might be removed if a user’s international voice, text, or data usage is more than half of their domestic plan’s total voice, text, and data usage for two consecutive months.

Some of the most popular destinations like Europe, India, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Central and South America are day pass supported destinations.

AT&T’s $10 International Day Pass is going to be available starting January 27th.
