The majority of video games are pretty straightforward where you complete a series of quests/missions, defeat the boss, and you’re done. However there also exist games where the choices you make throughout the game will affect the outcome, and it seems that the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of them.
Speaking to IGN Portugal (via Nintendo Life) in an interview, the game’s producer Eiji Aonuma revealed that Breath of the Wild has an alternate ending that players can unlock. According to Aonuma, if players were to meet “certain criteria”, they will be treated to a different ending of the game.
Of course we don’t even know what the original ending is in the first place, so it’s hard to say what this alternate ending could consist of. Several days ago, gamers managed to piece together the backstory of the game so if you’re interested and don’t mind spoiling a bit of the game for yourself, you can read up on it and get an idea of what to expect.
In the meantime The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been set for a release on the 3rd of March, 2017 where it will also be launching alongside the Nintendo Switch console.
