mass_effect-andromeda6EA and BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda is set for a release on the 21st of March, 2017. However as you might have heard, EA Access members will be getting a head start on the game as previously promised, although back then it was not stated as to how big of a head start they would be getting, at least until now.

In a tweet by Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, it has been revealed that EA Access members will be essentially getting a 5 day head start on the game before everyone else. Hryb’s tweet reads, “Great news for @EAAccess members: You will have access to a 10-hour trial of Mass Effect: Andromeda on March 16 (five days before launch)”.

The EA Access Twitter account has also confirmed that progress that you’ve made during the 10-hour trial period will carry over onto the game upon its release, so gamers won’t be wasting their time with it. Note that EA Access is an Xbox One-only service, but the folks at Game Informer have confirmed that PC gamers will be eligible for the head start as well as long as they are members of Origin Access.

The only group of gamers that are left out will be PS4 gamers, but if you’re not too fussed about these sorts of exclusives then we guess it’s not really a big deal. In the meantime Mass Effect: Andromeda will not be launching on the Nintendo Switch, just in case you’re considering getting Nintendo’s upcoming console.
