Faraday Future properly unveiled its self-driving electric car FF 91 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 earlier this month. While it revealed a lot of details about this car it didn’t say how much it’s going to cost, but it’s not that hard to guess that this vehicle will be very expensive. Just how much? Apparently, it’s going to cost close to $300,000. You can buy three Tesla Model S units for that much money.
Faraday Future announced at CES 2017 that the FF 91 has an output of 1,050 horsepower which can power the car from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 2.4 seconds. That’s going to put a lot of fuel-powered supercars to shame.
The company has also promised that the car’s 130-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack is capable of providing a combined range of 378 miles. So it won’t be all about showing off how fast it can go.
Chinese billionaire Jia Yueting who happens to be the head of LeEco that’s a main backer of Faraday Future has revealed in a new interview that the FF 91 is going to cost “less than 2 million Chinese yuan.” Just in case you don’t know what that translates into, it will be just under $300,000.
It’s possible that the price might differ in the United States as import duties and shipping costs in China will be different but it’s not like there’s going to be a major difference. The FF 91 is going to be a very expensive car, at least that much we know now.
