samsunglogoRumors of the Samsung Galaxy S8 have been floating about for a while now, but thanks to a recent report from The Guardian, a bunch of details have made their way onto the internet. Some of them you guys might have heard before, and some of them you might not be familiar with.

Starting with the display, The Guardian has learnt that it will be anywhere between 5-6-inches which is rather vague and we guess to be expected. However they also claim that the displays are curved and are apparently nearly bezel-less. These displays are “infinity” screens that apparently make it so that there is almost no room for Samsung’s logo on the front of the device.

Samsung is also said to have moved the fingerprint scanner to the back of the handset, which goes against rumors that they could be turning to an optical/ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the phone’s display. There is also an iris scanner which is a feature carried forward from the Galaxy Note 7.

They are also claiming that it will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, although in the past Samsung has been known to use Exynos and Qualcomm chipsets depending on which markets the phones are being sold in. There are also claims that there will be a special dock and a software feature that turns the phone into a Android desktop which is something we’ve heard of before.

Last but not least, they are claiming that the phone could be released and go on sale on the 21st of April, but then again The Guardian is a UK publication which means that their date might be different from the US and other parts of the world.
