nintendo-switchFans of Nintendo, gamers in general, and investors in Nintendo are no doubt curious as to how the Nintendo Switch will perform in terms of sales. Will it achieve the same level of success or better than that of the Wii? Or will it end up being a flop like that of the WIi U? Naturally we can’t tell since the console has yet to be released.

However according to Swedish retailer, Webhallen, things are looking up for the Switch. In a post on their Facebook page (via The GG), “We are only in January but 2017 promises to be Nintendo’s year. We already now see that the Nintendo Switch has more advanced bookings and is tracking better than the PlayStation 4 release! The first shipment to release in March is already fully booked, but we recommend that you stand in line for the coveted console, to ensure allocation among the supplies that come in the days and weeks after the release date.”

Basically the retailer is basing this on how many gamers have booked the console in advance. Of course how many actually plan on purchasing the console at its release remains to be seen, or for that matter how many consoles the retailer actually ordered is unclear. For all we know they might only have ordered 100 units for launch.

Not to mention this is just one retailer out of the many that will eventually stock the console, so they really are just a drop in the ocean. However assuming that this level of excitement shown at all retailers, then there’s a good chance Nintendo has a hit on their hands waiting to happen. The Nintendo Switch has its release date set for the 3rd of March where it will be priced at $300.
